SCHOOL EVENTS 2025
The school calendar for the academic year features an array of enriching and impactful events, each thoughtfully curated to inspire learning, leadership, and holistic growth.
The school successfully hosted its flagship inaugural Model United Nations conference, The Pitampura Summit 1.0 (TPS 1.0), 2025. The event empowered students to deliberate global challenges, refine analytical skills, and deepen their understanding of global citizenship.
Mahatma Hansraj Day, honouring the visionary founder of DAV institutions, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The school also marked its 44th Foundation Day, Dharohar, with a sacred hawan and vibrant student activities.
The Induction Ceremony marked the official initiation of students into a diverse spectrum of clubs, including the Health and Wellness Club, School Innovation Club, Arya Yuva Club, Inquisitive Club, Eco Club, Global Watch club and several others.
International Yoga Day was observed to promote holistic health, emphasizing both physical fitness and mental well-being.
EXPO 2025, graced by Chief Guest Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Skill Education and Training), CBSE, was a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and collaborative spirit. Showcased by students of Classes VII to X and the Cambridge Wing, the exhibition—centered on the theme "Empowering Peace, Inspiring Innovation"—featured original and thoughtful projects that reflected students’ critical thinking and dedication.
ATL Community Day was celebrated in collaboration with students from Sarvodaya Co-ed School through a series of engaging AI-focused activities.
In the enriching GENERATION GLOBAL a video conference with students from the UAE on the theme Peace and Security was organized and the ideas on building a harmonious and peaceful world were exchanged.
Young learners also explored the world of visual storytelling through the international workshop Scribbles to Stories: Crafting Comics Beyond Borders, featuring participants from Russia, Vietnam, and Korea, Conducted by the German author Mr. David.
In collaboration with Plant & Care for Peace – Environment Online (ENO), Finland, and the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Denmark, students celebrated Earth Day with vibrant plantation and recycling activities.
Talentica, a lively talent hunt for Classes II to VI, provided young learners a platform to showcase their unique abilities, boost confidence, and express their creativity in a joyful, supportive environment.
Spectrum 2025, a vibrant showcase of creativity by Class XI, was conducted with great enthusiasm. The talent hunt segment offered students an impactful platform to display their distinctive talents.
Crossroads 2025 saw enthusiastic participation in a dynamic array of interschool competitions, celebrating creativity, innovation, and student talent. The event was a resounding success, with around 800 students from 54 schools competing in 15 events.
Ensemble- an annual event opened up a live interactive learning space for Classes II to VI, where students explored club-led activities spanning mathematics, science, and other essential subjects.
Talentastic, a talent hunt competition celebrating creativity and self-expression – was organized by the Cambridge Wing, providing a vibrant platform where talent truly met opportunity.
The 79th Independence Day was commemorated with vibrant patriotic fervour. A standout moment was the symbolic kite-flying activity for Class XII, capturing the soaring aspirations and indomitable spirit of a free nation.
Ullas Utsav, the Festival of Joy, illuminated the potential of every child as students from classes II to V enthusiastically participated, culminating in a resounding success. The inaugural ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr.Mrs. Balesh Kumari Vijayrun, Deputy Director of Education, District North West B-1, Dr. Roma Kumar, Senior Psychologist, Ms. Anita Wadehra, former Principal of the school, and Ms. Sneh Verma, Former Principal Kulachi Hansraj Model School. The other eminent guests, including Ms. Ayushi (IAS), Sub-Divisional Magistrate, North West Delhi, Mr. Vikas Chauhan, District Youth Officer, North West Delhi, Dr. Banwari Lal, Managing Director of ONGC, Arjuna Awardee Mr. Abhishek Verma, and Dr. Amit Nagpal, Municipal Councillor, further enriched the event with their insights and encouragement.The ballet performance of ‘Veer Abhimanyu’, a powerful portrayal of bravery and perseverance received thunderous applause from all attendees.
The Graduation Ceremony 2025 – Stepping Up with Smiles marked a significant milestone as Class I and Pre-Primary Cambridge students transitioned from the Junior Wing at TP Block to the Senior Wing at ND Block. Enriched with lively and heart-warming performances by the preschool and pre-primary stars as they bid a fond farewell to their senior buddies, the occasion stood out as a truly memorable and cherished celebration.
A Safety and Security Awareness Programme was conducted to sensitize teachers and support staff on fire safety procedures, followed by a Disaster Management drill to enhance preparedness and response skills.
The school actively championed road safety awareness by organizing the “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha” Road Safety Campaign and observing National Road Safety Month, engaging students, parents, and the community in impactful initiatives.
The school organised Blood Donation Camp under the flagship of Rotary Club of Delhi Akash Megapolis and Rotaract Club of BPIT. With over 150 registrations,the camp saw 88 successful blood donations and more than 250 free health check-ups.
A powerful Anti-Tobacco Campaign was conducted in collaboration with the National Tobacco Control Program, PHFI, and HRIDAY. The initiative featured a holistic living session by Brahma Kumaris, and an awareness drive for support staff—strengthening the school’s commitment to a tobacco- and drug-free campus and a culture of well-being.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated to honor the cultural legacy of Hindi and to encourage appreciation for its role in uniting our nation.
The school organised Scholastic Book Week, celebrated Author’s Meet with Dr Adittya Nath Mabuyi,and DEAR (Drop Everything and Read), to inculcate the joy of reading.
The Sambhaav Share and Care Diwali Charity Fair, in collaboration with the Global Watch Club, exemplified the school's commitment to compassion and supporting the needy and underprivileged.
Mosaic, the inter-school Zonal Art Competition organised by the school’s Interact Club, brought together 21 schools and 60 talented participants, each displaying their artistic imagination and unique vision. The event garnered widespread acclaim across Rotary District 3011.
Confluence - The Career Fair 2025 offered students from classes IX to XII insights into diverse career options and emerging opportunities, with representatives from over 15 national and international universities showcasing their courses.
The school proudly hosted the DAV Sports Cluster 1 – a dynamic celebration of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The inauguration of the DAV National Sports Meet 2025 marked the start of three energetic days, with 10 DAV schools and over 250 participants competing in Basketball, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Chess, Skating, and Shooting.
Kreativ 2025, Showcased a distinguished array of international Inter-school German Competitions in collaboration with Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi.
The school organised innovative workshops to foster creativity and problem-solving skills. A Design Thinking session for Classes IX–XII under the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow initiative, in collaboration with Samsung, FITT–IIT Delhi, and Think Startup, engaged students with real-world challenges, while Tinker Tech Camp 2025 for Grades V–VIII offered hands-on experience in Arduino, sensors, app development, and design thinking.
Our young innovators took centre stage at the Viksit Bharat Buildathon, presenting creative solutions for a self-reliant India. The event featured insights from Mr. Kanav Thukral and Ms. Tanya Thukral.
Swasti Sharma, Daksh Thukral, and Mishika Aggrawal represented the school at the School Youth Ideathon 2025–26 Launch, showcasing Sporty Coach and Touch Safely at the CBSE Headquarters.
Neoteric Club students joined the Global STEM Initiative (WICCI) – “The Friendly AI”, exploring AI ethics through pledges, surveys, and creative reflections.
Innovation Ambassadors excelled at the Skill Expo 2025 – Ghaziabad, reaching the top 60 with projects “You, Your Own Universe” and “Era”, blending AR-VR and AI innovation.
The Annual Sports Day was marked by energy and enthusiasm, with students demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for fitness, creating memorable moments of fun and camaraderie.
Gratitude Day – Timeless Ties was a heartfelt celebration honoring the cherished bond between grandparents and grandchildren. The event radiated warmth and togetherness through fun-filled games, laughter, and joyful moments that strengthened this timeless connection.
Éclat 2025, The Cambridge Wing Annual celebration sparkled with creativity as students brought Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to life through enchanting performances. The event beautifully embodied the theme of Dazzle, Dream, Discover. The school was honoured to welcome Mr.Raghav Prakash, Director & Scenographer- winner of Sangeet Natak Akademi award by the honourable President of India, as the Chief Guest.
The school is proud to be part of the ATL Sarthi – Delhi Northwest Red Line Cluster, with JIMS as the Nodal agency. and as a part of the Sarthi Program a session on "Protecting Innovation through Patent", was organised for Neoteric Innovators.
The school hosted an Entrepreneurial Quotient (EQ) Test for students of Classes VIII to XII as part of the Youth Ideathon workshop, in collaboration with ThinkStartup, to assess creativity, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial thinking.
The DAV Cluster–1 Sports Meet was successfully hosted, featuring a total of 20 games. Six events were conducted at the Cluster Level, while Archery and Lawn Tennis competitions were held at the State Level.
The school hosted the “Run for DAV” Cross Country Race (2 km), 2025, under the aegis of DAV CMC, New Delhi.
Showcasing a spirit of teamwork and excellence, the school hosted the DOE Basketball Competition (Zone 29 Girls) and the Delhi State Basketball Championship.
The school continually enhances teaching practices through training and workshops. The comprehensive Capacity Building Programme under the aegis of DAVCAE equipped educators across subjects with modern tools, upgraded techniques, and strengthened conceptual understanding for effective classroom delivery.
A series of career-oriented workshops were held for the senior wing students, featuring Fable Careers in Commerce and Humanities and an informative session on CUET. For Class X, engaging interactive sessions were conducted on How to Make Maths Fun and Educational Pathways: From Stream Selection to Exploring Career Opportunities.
In collaboration with Learning Links Foundation, the school hosted the Google for Education Teacher Training program aimed at enhancing educators' digital proficiency and AI-integrated teaching skills. The session offered hands-on experience with Gemini AI tools, and participating teachers were awarded Google-certified credentials.

SCHOOL HOSTS GYS AVISHKAR AWARDS 2025
DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, hosts GYS Avishkar Awards 2025 Ceremony by GETA Young Scientist, on October 29 at our school — a celebration of innovation, creativity, and scientific spirit among young minds across India.
The event was graced by Commodore Amit Rastogi (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), as the Chief Guest, who inspired students with his words —
“Innovation is the key to achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat. Schools are the best place to groom innovation in young minds.”
The national competition received over 1,000 innovation projects from 26 states, recognizing 25 winning ideas with trophies, merit certificates, and cash prizes worth ₹1,30,000.
💡 The ceremony also featured an impressive Student Innovation Showcase at the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) of DL DAV Model School, where students presented prototypes and creative solutions addressing real-world challenges — reflecting the spirit of learning by doing. Visitors and dignitaries appreciated the students’ hands-on approach, teamwork, and design thinking skills nurtured through ATL initiatives.
👏 In addition to 3 winners, 22 students from 9 states received Consolation Prizes for their innovative contributions.
The program, chaired by Mr. Murali Valiveti, aims to groom Student Innovators for the Nation, with a vision to foster 500 innovations by 2030 under the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The Junior Wing was nothing less than a powerhouse of thrill and excitement. From the very first moment, the arena echoed with cheers as our little athletes showcased not only their sporting spirit but also their courage and determination.The highlight of the event was the Taekwondo display. The daring tile-breaking act drew gasps and applause, reflecting the grit and confidence of the children.Our young paddlers showcased their skills in
Table Tennis too with confident serves and swift rallies, filling the arena with cheers and excitement.

Sparkled with devotion and joy as children celebrated Janmashtami with colourful dances, soulful bhajans, and a charming Krishna Leela. Dressed as little Krishnas and Radhas, our tiny stars won every heart. The enactment of Krishna Leela delighted everyone and filled the air with the cheers of “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki!”.
It was a day of cultural learning, joy and togetherness, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds.

The Junior wing of DL DAV MODEL SCHOOL ,PITAMPURA came alive with patriotism and pride as we celebrated the 79th Independence Day in grand style .The day began with the tricolour unfurling high and the entire premises echoing with the National Anthem. Our little patriots stole the show with energetic dances, soulful patriotic songs, and a thought provoking street play on India’s freedom struggle.
Dressed in bright hues of saffron, white, and green, the children looked like walking tricolours, spreading joy and love for the nation.The highlight was the energetic march-past by our tiny tots, followed by cheers of “Jai Hind!” filling the air.The celebration ended on a sweet note with a promise to be responsible and proud citizens of our beloved country.

An exciting and vibrant Exhibition was organized in the Junior Wing of DL DAV MODEL SCHOOL, PITAMPURA. NNS Media Group organized 'Government Achievements & Schemes Expo- 2025', the 'Biggest Show on Govt. Achievements' with the concurrent show 'Rising PSES Expo' at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 21-22-23 June, 2025. Many universities and institutes like IIT, IIIT, IISER, IIMs, NITs, CBSE/NCERT, Central Universities and many other Institutes including vocational institutes participated in the 'Government Achievements & Schemes Expo' with the aim to reach out to the students, teachers and parents to update them about various opportunities available for the aspiring students.

Drawing inspiration from the International Years 2025 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the event echoed with themes of global peace, purpose, and shared human ethos—beautifully expressed through thought-provoking projects and spectacular performances.
We were honoured by the gracious presence of Ms. Neha Chauhan, Academic Advisor – North India, Cambridge Assessment International Education, as our Guest of Honour, who appreciated the student-led initiatives and their global outlook.

In celebration of ATL Community Day and the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Dldav Pitampura , opened its doors to students for the enthusiastic young learners from Sarvodaya Co-ed Sr. Sec. School, ZP Block, Pitampura.
The day focused on Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, and included:
A creative skit performed by our students to introduce the concept of AI in a fun and relatable way.
An interactive session on AI fundamentals designed to make the concepts accessible and exciting for all participants.
A hands-on activity with Teachable Machine, where students trained their own simple AI models using images, sounds, or poses.
A live demonstration of Generative AI, showcasing the power of AI to create images, text, and more — sparking amazement and curiosity.

The Tinker Tech Camp, held from 10th to 13th March 2025, was an exciting and enriching experience for students of Grades V-VIII. The camp focused on problem-solving and innovation skills, preparing young minds for hackathons and innovation fests.
Students actively participated in hands-on activities, exploring Arduino, design thinking, electronics, sensors, and app development. Through collaboration and creativity, they transformed ideas into reality, enhancing their critical thinking and technological skills.

ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN AND DRIVE
Under the guidance and everlasting motivation by Respected Principal Ma'am , The Road Safety Brigade of DLDAV Model School , Pitampura organised a Four Days Road Safety campaign and drive from 28th January to 31st January , 2025 to sensitize students , parents and community on safe driving and to obey safety rules on road.The Brigade aimed to raise awareness in and around school area about responsible behavior of people on roads. Issues like wrong side driving , rash driving , riding without helmets , wrong parking , chaos on roads were addressed for everyone’s safety. Commuters were also explained about the methods and necessities of road safety, which means they must understand the use of helmets or seat belts while driving on the road or anywhere.
The mission was successful to a greater extent with the motto “Bringing Change through Youth Power” , thus following the theme for this year's campaign “Be a Road Safety Hero” which focuses on various measures people should adopt to comply with the safety regulations.
With great spirits it is hoped that the venture will continue to serve the society for a good cause and will definitely imbibe the values of responsibility and integrity amongst the youth of the nation.

Christmas Celebration and Sharadhanand Diwas 2024
On December 21, 2024, our school community came together to celebrate the magic of Christmas and commemorate Sharadhanand Diwas. The school was transformed into a breathtaking winter wonderland, complete with vibrant decorations and students dressed in festive red and white attire. The celebration began with an engaging presentation that delved into the significance and history of Christmas. This was followed by a captivating skit that beautifully depicted the nativity of Jesus Christ. The students' harmonious portrayal of the story, from Mary's conception to Jesus' birth, left the audience spellbound. We also took a moment to honor the legacy of Swami Sharadhanand, a pioneer in social reform and education. Our students presented inspiring speeches and performances that highlighted his contributions to society. As the celebration reached its crescendo, students danced to the lively tunes of "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." The grand entrance of Santa Claus added to the excitement, spreading joy and cheer among the students. ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY
DLDAV Model School, Pitampura, proudly hosted Eunoia - The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, on December 14, 2024. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Sh. Rajiv Gauba, IAS, Former Cabinet Secretary of India, and Guest of Honour Ms. Ayushi, IAS, alongside Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Vice President of DAVCMC and Chairman of the school.

RENDEZVOUS WITH EVENING SKY
"The night sky is a miracle of infinitude” In line with fostering curiosity and scientific inquiry, Darbari Lal DAV School organized the *"Rendezvous with Evening Sky"* event on December 9, 2024, for students of classes 4 to 6. This engaging program featured the *"Capturing Celestial Objects"* workshop, which provided an enriching opportunity to delve into practical astronomy. Telescopes were positioned to offer clear views of celestial objects such as the moon and it’s craters, Jupiter and it’s four Galilean moons, Rings of Saturn , constellations like Ursa Major and Orion. The session also dealt with Astrophotography that requires a DSLR camera. The students were exposed to capturing celestial bodies through different types of astronomical photography- Afocal, Prime focus and Territorial photography. The event not only allowed students to appreciate the wonders of the universe but also ignited a passion for further exploration of the vast, mysterious night sky. This initiative marked a step towards inspiring future astronomers and deepening interest in scientific discovery.

On October 2, 2024, DLDAV Model School, Pitampura, proudly organized the 'RUN for DAV' on the occasion of 'Gandhi Jayanti'. The event saw an overwhelming participation of 102 enthusiastic students from different classes, coming together to commemorate the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi—health, peace, unity, and service.
The day was filled with energy and fervour as students took part in 2 Km and 5 Km RUN.
This initiative not only emphasized the importance of physical fitness but also fostered a strong sense of social responsibility and national values in today’s world.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the DAV Managing Committee for this wonderful opportunity, and to our esteemed Principal Mrs. Anupama Sinha ma'am for providing the platform and constant guidance and encouragement. The Junior Wing of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a heartfelt and captivating presentation for Pre-Primary and Class I students. The event was a beautiful tribute to the invaluable lessons from the life of Mahatma Gandhi, which continue to inspire generations. Additionally, the children paid homage to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, another revered leader, whose birthday coincides with that of Gandhiji.
The students extended a warm and endearing welcome to our esteemed Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Anupama Sinha, whose visionary leadership and enthusiasm have played a pivotal role in shaping young minds. Her guidance has been instrumental in nurturing a learning environment where values and creativity flourish hand-in-hand.
The event was a resounding success, as the young students showcased their immense talent and creativity, bringing Gandhiji's principles to life through an engaging musical skit. The Junior Wing of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, celebrated World Peace Day.
Our venerated Principal Ma'am, Mrs. Anupama Sinha, a vibrant and charismatic leader, received a hearty and enthusiastic welcome from our adorable tiny tots in a supremely cute and endearing way.
Tiny tots of classes Nursery, Pre-Primary and Class 1 emphasized the importance of Peace in the world.
Children dressed up as Peace Ambassadors and put forward their ideologies for world peace. They tapped their feet to the tunes of peace related melodies. Children also recited slogans and acronyms of the word PEACE to promote peace in the world.
A thought provoking Nukkad Natak was also presented by the young torch bearers of peace.
The event was truly appreciated by everyone!

SWACHHTA HI SEWA CAMPAIGN 2024

Across the country, celebrations under the name of ‘Swacch Bharat’ are being carried out, with a heightened emphasis on cleanliness and environmental sustainability under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata.”
Under the guidance and support of our esteemed principal ma’am,the campaign was initiated in our school too, inculcating values of cleanliness and hygiene in the students.

ACTIVITY 1: PLEDGE
Description: Students of class 3 took pledge in the classroom in both English and Hindi where the cleanliness and hygiene importance has been imbibed by the students. The students were made to understand that similar to the basic essentials of life like food, water, shelter, cleanliness also holds great significance in life. ACTIVITY 2: CLEANLINESS MARCH AND DRIVE
Description: A cleanliness march was done in and around the school where the students spoke slogans to create awareness and knowledge about cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation. The students have been in their high spirits and enjoyed the march in full enthusiasm.The students also done cleanliness drive where they were senstisize about keeping their environment clean. The students cleaned the ground by picking up the litter and throwing in the bin. This aimed at keeping the environment clean and tidy.
ACTIVITY 3: BOOKMARK AND SLOGAN MAKING
Description: An art integrated activity had been conducted in the class where students made bookmarks and wrote slogans in hindi .Later, the slogans were recited in the classroom and students enjoyed it to the fullest.

Description: An interactive session on dining etiquettes and hygiene practices was conducted for classes II-III. Teachers demonstrated proper use of utensils and napkins and correct hnadwashing techniques before meals. The activity significantly improved awareness about hygiene during meals among students.
ACTIVITY 5: POEM RECITATION
Description: Poem recitation activity was conducted to engage students in promoting cleanliness awareness through poetry.Students showcased their impressive creativity and passion for the cause.The activity not only enhanced creative skills but also strengthen their understanding of cleanliness.
ACTIVITY 6: SENSITIZING SERVICE PROVIDERS ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
Description: The school service staff was appreciated and acknowledged about their important role in maintaining cleanliness. They were also demonstrated of some eco friendly methods.They were also encouraged for the positive reinforcement of the drive.
CONCLUSION:
This enhance report encapsulates the essence of the cleanliness and sanitation, highlighting their significance in equipping all the stakeholders(students, service providers, and school teachers) with vital skills for personal and environmental development related to cleanliness and using interactive methods to teach cleanliness skills to the learners.
With this, the learners, as a community, develop the ability to keep their environment clean, and used imbibed skills to bring behavioural change in them. There is no doubt that cleanliness comes from within, so one should reflect from within and let it flow in the outer environment.

Janmashtami, birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu was celebrated with great mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, the soothing aroma of camphor, and the jingle of bells filled the air whilst our natkhat kanhas and charming radhas added the feeling of devotion, creativity and exhuberance in the aura. The event aimed to educate students about the significance of the festival while providing an enjoyable and interactive experience to all the spectators. The entire school premises was adorned with colorful decorations, including matkis, floral arrangements, and festive lights. A special focus was given to creating scenes depicting Krishna’s famous life incidents. The celebrations began with
auspicious welcoming of Lord Krishna followed by dramatisation of his life events in a joyous spirit of enthrallment. The participants also showcased stunning and graceful dances with acute expressions and rhythm. The Janmashtami celebrations were a resounding success, marked by vibrant activities, cultural performances, and active participation from the entire school. The students adorned in vibrant tricolor costumes extended a warm and respectful greeting to Principal Ma'am, In-Charge Ma'am and the parents setting a patriotic tone for the day.
The entire event was driven by the passionate involvement of students from classes-PS Daisy,Pre-Primary B and Class 1- C .Not only did the narrators eloquently articulate the significance of Independence Day but the students also actively brought the day to life through engaging and informative presentations. They reflected on the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and shed light on the deep meaning behind the national flag capturing the hearts of all present.
The school reverberated with bold and inspiring slogans of revered freedom fighters. The students with unwavering conviction, chanted "Inquilab Zindabad" and "Jai Hind," reminding everyone of the indomitable spirit that led to India's Independence.
Kites soared high, carrying messages of hope and dreams, while students performed energetic dance performances on patriotic songs captivating the audience. The school was beautifully adorned with tricolor decorations, enhancing the spirit of the day. The event was a resounding success showcasing the student’s love for the country and their commitment to the dream of a free and prosperous India. The Global Watch Club (GWC) hosted its eagerly awaited induction ceremony on August 27th, 2024. On Saturday, May 18, 2024, D.L.D.A.V. Model School, Pitampura, came alive with the vibrant celebration of EXPO 2024, aptly titled "MOSAIC: A Symphony of Talent and Innovation." The event was graced by the Hon'ble Shri Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), as the Chief Guest. INVESTITURE CEREMONY
DL.D.A.V. Model School, Pitampura, organized its Investiture Ceremony to confer responsibilities on the newly elected members of the Senior Students' Council for the academic year 2024-2025. The school organized a four-day "Road Safety Campaign," titled "Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha," during which the Road Safety Brigade sensitized students, parents, and the community about safe driving and the importance of obeying safety rules on the roads.
A safety and security Awareness programme was organized to sensitize teachers and support staff about the handling and operating of the fire safety instruments installed in the school and on the need to be vigilant and alert .A similar exercise on testing and operation of water cannons was held.

ROCKSPORT - CLIMB UP ADVENTURE EDUCATION CAMP (CAMBRIDGE)
DL DAV MODEL School, ND block, PITAMPURA ,CAMBRIDGE WING organised an Adventure Camp for students of classes 1st to 7th under the supervision of teachers and professional instructors from Rocksport. It was a day camp that offered a positive and safe environment which encouraged children to develop motor skills, build confidence, encounter challenging new experiences and enjoy quality time outdoors. This camp helped them to develop basic athletic skills such as balancing coordination and to enjoy the adventures. The students arrived bubbling with excitement as they headed to participate in such activities for the first time. It encompassed an array of adventure activities like Commando Net, Commando Crawl, Trampoline, Zorb Roller, Rappelling, Zip Line, Parallel Rope, Balancing Beam, Magical maze, Burma bridge, Hopscotch and Laser beam. The children participated with zeal and were delighted when they completed each task. Every activity aimed at honing a different skill. The students managed to cross the Zip Line confidently. Adrenaline rush during all the activities was high. Students had a joyful and thrilling experience. Surely, the camp concluded with unforgettable memories.

Crescendo-Fostering fitness (sports mania) was organized from 7th December to 9 th December, 2022 which was filled with fun and enthusiasm. The program was inaugurated by our respected Principal ma'am and supervisory head, followed by a well synchronized March-past by the students. Interesting games and competitions were the main highlights of the day. The students participated in fascinating sports events like lemon spoon race, flat race, cross hurdle, sack race, hurdle race, hula hoop race, basket with tennis ball, 60M race, backpack race etc.The young athletes were encouraged and cheered throughout the races. The students showcased a great sense of discipline and skills. The spirit of sportsmanship was in the air, creating an atmosphere of festivity and jubilance.

Frenzy and excitement was at its peak when the star cast of 'Rocket Gang' lit fire on the stage on 1 Nov22 to promote the movie. A directorial debut of Bollywood ace choreographer Bosco .The movie is the roller coaster ride of friendship,comaraderie ,love and dance as the team of 5 dancer children step into the biggest dance competition to fullfill their dreams .The team along with all the five actors of the movie and the five kids of dance reality show fame came dancing on the stage. Aditya Seal ,Nikita Dutta, Jason Tham ,Mokshada Jaikhani ,Sahib Singh Chahal along with the five dancing kids Jayshree Gogoi ,Aadvik Mongia, Deepali Borkar ,Tejas Verma and Siddhant Sharma were all present for the promotion. Students were assembled in the ground and the movie team was cheered up with thunderous claps.The Principal, Mrs Seema Aggarwal wished the star cast all the best and thanked them for having chosen DL DAV PITAM PURA as the venue for the promotion of the movie which will be released on 11 November 2022.

Team AI Gloves, of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, comprising of Gautam Gupta of class XII and Sanchi Bansal and Pratyush Mehra of class IX made it to the top 10 teams (out of 7000 teams from all over India) in YOUTH IDEATHON 2022 organised by CBSE in collaboration with Management and Entrepreneurship and Professional Skill Council. The students and the Teacher Coordinator were felicitated in a prestigious ceremony held at IIT Delhi. The students received gold medals and an Incubation Grant of Rs 1 lakh. The school was awarded the School of Innovation Trophy. Ms. Charu Dhodi, ATL Incharge and the Event Coordinator, secured 2nd rank as Mentor and was awarded the Teacher of Innovation Award
and Mentor Award. Team ‘Sporty Coach’ comprising of Arjun, Swasti and Arhan received the Most Popular Idea Award while 13 school teams were ranked among the top 1000 teams. DLDAV Model School, Pitampura organized Confluence - Career Fair for students of classes IX to XII. Mr. Jitin Chawla, CEO, Centre for Career Development, addressed the students on new emerging unconventional careers. He cleared doubts and answered student queries. A number of Indian and foreign universities, coaching institutes and eminent counsellors participated in the Fair which catered to various interests of students like Hotel Management, Fashion Designing, Engineering, Entrepreneurship and others. The focus of the event was on a wide choice of career options available, CUET Exam, admission in DU and other prestigious colleges, study abroad, new education policy and changes in higher education. Speakers enlightened students on how to select a career with understanding of their capabilities, interest and scope of their course they chose. The Health and Wellness Club of D.L.DAV Model School, Pitampura organized a Cardiopulmonay Resuscitation Training program for students, teachers and supporting staff, under the guidance of experts from the Heart Care Foundation of India. It was a very effective experience as each trainee was allowed to perform the CPR individually on dummies. VISIT TO INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
Students of D.L. DAV Model School, Pitampura visited the International Photography Exhibition on Narendra Modi – A Champion of Prosperity and World Peace. The Exhibition showcased rare photographs from the life of Shri. Narendra Modi, his pioneering work for the welfare of the people and his formidable role as a world leader working towards global peace and prosperity. Some of these photographs were drawn from the 672 paged biographical book titled ‘Narendra Modi – a Charismatic and Visionary Statesman’ authored by Dr. Adish Aggarwal, President, International Council of Jurists and All Indian Bar Association. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal expressed great satisfaction and joy as the visit was a great learning experience for the students and a way to celebrate the 72nd birthday of Prime Minister Shri. POSHAN ABHIYAAN
DLDAV Model School, Pitampura observed POSHAN MAAH – a Govt. of India flagship program with full enthusiasm and vigor. A number of activities were organized on the occasion which aimed to sensitize children of all grades on Nutrition, through organizing healthy diet competition and health questionnaire with thought provoking questions. Regular yoga and physical activities were conducted in the assembly in the zero period for Health and physical well being.
The E-quiz competition focused on eating healthy nutrition. Students participated in E-Quiz.
Parents were sensitized through a Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM). The class teachers interacted with parents with regard to nutrition and its relationship to physical and mental health and wellbeing of the school children and inspired them to send healthy food in their tiffins.

Generation Global is an interactive platform, where students from different nationalities communicate with each other using a systematic dialogue. The topic for this Video Conference on the 28th of September was ‘Art Of Expression’, where students of DAV Pitampura from India, a school from Indonesia, and 4 different schools from India came together to discuss the art of expressing themselves.
It was a wonderful opportunity for them to respect each other’s opinions, to put forth their views in a constructive and meaningful way, and to explore each other’s perspectives.

Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, which aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.Every year MUN session is organised at the Cambridge wing for one day,this year it was held on 24th, September 2022 for classes 1 to 7.Different committees like UNHRC (United nations human rights council),Human Rights Council (HRC) Committee etc are assigned to classes and students of a particular class act as Delegates work towards debating the many aspects of the given agendas of Sustainable development goals. At this conference, the students learned about the importance of coming together to achieve a common goal in the true spirit of the United Nations.

DLDAVPP participated in Life Link student exchange virtual conference 2022 - a two day event hosted on 20th and the 21st of june, virtually over zoom, by Life-Link Friendship-Schools Association, Sweden. The purpose of this programme was to empower students to undertake actions for peace and sustainability for their school and community as well as to guide fellow schools and students across the world. Students from different schools from Bahrain, Egypt, Estonia, Iran, Lithuania, Russia and Sweden participated in this informative and proactive event. The DLDAVPP Team comprised of 8 students - Abhilasha Shokeen and Sanchi Bansal from class IX, Aarna Rawat, Sarah Kumar, Suhani Gupta, Saksham Gupta, Shivansh Shah Chawla from class X and Yajur Rai Chhabra from class XI and the teacher coordinator Ms Shaily Chawla. Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block Pitampura celebrated the 75th Independence Day -Azadi ka Amritotsav with great zeal and zest. The celebration was spread over a number of days with an array of activities and competitions to arouse patriotic fervor and pride for the glorious history of the country.
Special Assemblies were organised by different wings of the school ie. Nursery, Primary, Cambridge, Middle, Senior and Senior Secondary.
Principal Mrs. Seema Agrawal hoisted the National flag on 13th August 2022 followed by National Anthem and National song. The school choir presented a medley of patriotic songs accompanied by a talented orchestra team. Mesmerizing dances showcasing the incredible diversity of the country, yet bonded by a unique sense of unity captivated the audience. Poems on the significance of the day were recited to infuse love for the country. The bagpiper band of the school impressed one and all. The sight of hundreds of students waving the National flag with reverence and pride was indeed soul stirring.
The celebration was flagged off by different competitions organised for different classes and Houses of the school. These included slogan writing on kites, badge making, poster making, folder making and others. The competitions elicited an overwhelming response from students who participated with great enthusiasm. The winning entries were displayed on bulletin boards. The school wore a festive look with hundreds of National flags adorning every nook and corner of the school. The selfie point depicting the "Har Ghar Tiranga" program attracted children and teachers alike. Tricolor balloons were released symbolizing the march of the nation to glory and height. The kite flying competition organised for senior secondary classes filled the entire atmosphere with awe and jubilation.
Prabhat pheries were taken out by students and teachers in the neighborhood. Students holding tricolours in their hands and singing patriotic songs drew the attention of the crowds who cheered them with joy.
School Principal Mrs. Seema Agrawal expressed great happiness on the celebration of Azadi ka Amritotsav and urged students to remember the unbelievable sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. She reminded them of their responsibilities and remarkable role they would play in nation building. She conveyed gratitude to the authorities for the meticulous planning and execution of the National festival and its tremendous impact on every student and staff of the school. She hoped that the occasion would instill essential values and principles in students to last a lifetime.

Crossroads 2022
Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura organized its annual event CROSSROADS 2022, an array of Virtual Interschool Competitions. The event drew an overwhelming response and around 1600 students from 81 schools participated in the 15 subject related competitions. Eminent judges from different walks of life were approached to judge the entries and e-certificates were awarded to the winners and participants. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal congratulated all the participants for the commendable entries and appreciated the tireless efforts of the computer staff and the teacher coordinators for the flawless planning and execution of the mega event. The host school bagged the rolling trophy for the highest overall score. However, it was handed to the second best winner Adarsh Public School, Vikaspuri. Crossroads 2022 was a grand success.

Amazon Future Engineer Program
DL DAV Model School, Pitampura collaborated with Learning Links Foundation to launch Amazon Future Engineer Program for classes III-VIII and organized an Hour of Code session.
This is in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, that recommends the need for introducing computational skills at the schooling level.
The Amazon Future Engineer Program (AFE) inspires children to explore computer science (CS) and coding. It seeks to motivate them to pursue higher education and careers in computer science and also equips teachers with the skills to support students as they aspire for such careers.
Under this an Hour of Code Session and Amazon Class Chat session was organised for students. n Online Amazon Class Chat Session was organised for students of classes VI-VIII.

EXPO 2022 (class X)
Class X Expo 2022, a class wise virtual Annual Extravaganza with various relevant themes was held on 16th and 18th July, 2022. The event focused on bringing innovation, new levels of Insight and moments of great individual and collective accomplishment besides exposure to real-world issues.
This mega event promoted peer learning, teamwork and confidence, enhancing communication and technical skills among students. Summer Internship - HELPAGE India
Students of Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura participated in a summer internship program in the month of May-June in collaboration with Helpage India, an NGO working for social, economic and emotional needs of the elderly people. Thirty volunteers of class XII actively took part in various events of this training and learning programme. The program included visits to DMRC Helpage India Home, Govindpuri, Nagal Dewal, Slum area, Vasant kunj and India International Centre.
Students joined an international question and answer session organized by Helpage India to mark the World Elderly Abuse Day. The aim was to sensitize masses about health care, age care and anxiety issue among the elderly people.
School Principal, Mrs. Seema Agarwal and School Administrator, Mrs. Anita Wadehra lauded the efforts of Helpage India and the committed team of volunteers from school for their efforts in sensitizing the community towards the elderly.

This year the school celebrated the power of yoga for a month from 21st May to 21st June’22 by organizing various activities to preach and practice yoga for a fresh and active life. The activities included rhythmic yoga where children showcased beautiful yoga asanas to stay fit, poster making and a nukkad natak to spread a message of a healthy lifestyle by practicing yoga daily. Eco Club Induction
Environment conservation is the need of hour keeping in mind the increasing pollution and population. The purpose of ECO club in schools is to create mass awareness amongst the large population. In our school Eco club induction ceremony was organized,so that small eco warriors can be sensitized towards their duty for environment. Investiture Ceremony
Investiture Ceremony to swear in the Student Council members and Prefectorial Board 2022-2023 was held. The House Flags handed to the Principal by House Teachers were received by the newly appointed House Prefects. Senior Head Boy Kapil Bhatia received the school flag along with Head Girl Chehak Oberoi, Deputy Head Boy Bhumanyu Samyal, Deputy Head Girl Vidhi Somani and other Council members. All these students pledged to uphold the tradition and values of the institution and perform their duties with sincerity and dedication. Investiture Ceremony was also organized at sub junior, junior and sub senior levels. ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN
The Road Safety Brigade of DLDAV Model School , Pitampura organised a Two Day Road Safety Drive on 19th and 20th May , 2022 to sensitize students parents and community on safe driving and to obey safety rules on road.The Brigade aimed to raise awareness in and around school area about responsible behavior of people on roads. Issues like wrong side driving , rash driving , riding without helmets , wrong parking , chaos on roads were addressed for everyone’s safety. Commuters were also explained about the methods and necessities of road safety, which means they must understand the use of helmets or seat belts while driving on the road or anywhere.The mission was successful to a greater extent with the motto “Bringing Change through Youth Power” , thus following the theme for this year's campaign 'Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ which focuses on various measures people should adopt to comply with the safety regulations. The students showed enthusiastic participation in the program and it was indeed an enriching experience for the young Brigade.

Financial literacy is the ability to make informed judgements and to make effective decisions regarding the use and management of money. The single biggest difference between financial success and financial failure is how well you manage your money.The dedicated young financial maestro's of our school were bestowed with the responsibility of providing dynamic platform to the students for creating financial awareness which is just as important in life as the other basics, through their constant commited efforts on the occasion of induction ceremony of FINLIT CLUB held on 20th May, 2022. Our newly elected young financial brigade pledged to ensure everyone' s financial well being. Students presented a wonderful skit creating awareness about E Banking and Cyber frauds which was much appreciated by everyone. Mr Kapil Mahani,our alumnus from 2004 batch who is CEO and co founder of Cretum Advisory was guest of honour .He interacted with students and solved the queries of inquisitive minds. Keeping in view the above objective , the Induction Ceremony of Inquisitive Club was held on 11 May , 2022 at 8.30 am. The event began with the welcome of Principal mam followed by a lamp lighting ceremony . Heartfelt gratitude was expressed to the School Administrator Mrs Anita Wadehra for shaping and feeding the curiosity of the young minds through the initiation of Inquisitive Club . The guest of honour was Ms Joshika Saraf who is currently a lecturer and coordinator at Jindal Global Law School.
The achievements of members during the previous year and the goals for coming tenure had a special part in the presentation. Names of portfolio holders and student council were revealed and strategies were disclosed. The event concluded with new hopes and high vision. Principal Ma’am motivated the students with her words of wisdom and inspired us to achieve the desired objectives with the importance of “leadership”. Ms Joshika Saraf shared her experiences and motivated the students to strive ahead with excellence.
All the members from class II to XII were indeed feeling blessed to be a part of this vibrant club.The ceremony concluded with the blessings of the Almighty and the chanting of Shanti Path. School Innovation Ambassador Club has been conceptualized by the school to train the Neoteric Innovators across all classes who will nurture the young school students on Ideation, IPR, product development, design thinking, problem solving and critical thinking. CAMBRIDGE ACTIVITIES
ORIENTATION DAY
Parents Orientation programme’ was organized virtually on 19 March 2022 Saturday for Class 1-7 for the academic year 2022-23. The aim was to familiarize the parents, “as partners in progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school and the co-scholastic activities.
HAWAN CEREMONY
Cambridge wing conducted an auspicious hawan ceremony on 1st April, 2022, to seek divine blessings of the almighty on the commencement of new session 2022-23. Amidst the chanting of mantras and offering of ‘aahuties‘ in the sacred fire, Principal ma’am Mrs Seema Aggarwal ma'am along with the students and teachers prayed for the progress, prosperity and well being of the school.
WORLD HEALTH DAY
World Health Day was celebrated on 7 th April ,2022 to spread awareness about the overall health and well-being of students . Various health activities were organized class wise and students were made aware about the importance of healthy eating habits, washing of hands before and after eating , personal health and hygiene and importance of physical exercises in our life .
FITNESS ASSEMBLY
DLDAV Model school Pitampura ,Cambridge wing conducted a Fitness assembly for classes 1&2 on 8th April ,2022.
The prime objective was to encourage them to inculcate the habit of exercise and sports in their daily routine . As it is aptly said "A healthy mind resides in a healthy body " , students of classes 1 & 2 were made to perform various free hand exercises like stretching, breathing, bending, standing, jumping and sitting drills under guidance of our sports teacher . Little learners enjoyed the free hand exercise sessions and also felt energetic.
FOUNDATION DAY
The Foundation Day was celebrated on 12th April, 2022 with full zeal and enthusiasm .The Foundation Day of the school is celebrated to mark the day when the institution started its journey and we get a chance to reflect on how the institution has progressed and shaped us. Students of class 1-7 made beautiful cards and school sketch to mark the day

MAHATMA HANSRAJ DAY
Mahatma Hansraj day was celebrated on April 19 ,2022 by the students of Cambridge wing from classes 1 - 7 . The purpose of the celebration was to make the students aware about the life and contributions of Mahatma Hansraj and to derive inspiration from it. A video was shown to the students showcasing the journey of Mahatma Hansraj . Students chanted Om mantra, Bhajans in the morning assembly and also did art integrated activities related to the life of Mahatma Hansraj.
EARTH DAY
Students of classes 1-7 Cambridge wing celebrated Earth day on April 22, 2022 with full zeal and enthusiasm. Earth Day aims to “build the world's largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and the planet.” The movement's mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.” Students were sensitized with environmental issues and they performed art integrated and speaking activities based on ways to take care of mother earth .
WORLD BOOK DAY
World Book Day was celebrated by Cambridge wing students from classes on 23 April, 2022

The purpose of celebrating book day was to inculcate reading habits among students as reading develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge and lessons while at the same time keeps our mind active. To mark this day,
students made beautiful book marks, filled colors in their favorite cartoon characters and spoke about their favorite books and authors.
ENO TREE PLANTATION DAY
Tree planting symbolizes sustainable development. A tree seedling represents ecosystem services where the tree during its lifetime hosts hundreds of other forest species, sequestration carbon, secures pure surface and ground water and stabilizes local climate”
Our Environment is important for us. Not only locally but also globally, around the world. Today it's time to lay focus on the environment. We do this special deed together with thousands of students and teaching communities around the world by being an active member of the ENO Community.
ENO has set a wonderful platform to remind us of nature and the importance of Environmental Protection. It also signifies cooperation between schools round the globe. To contribute our part of ENO’s mission, our school took part in the ENO tree plantation program wherein students of DLDAVPP Cambridge Wing and Junior Wing (II,III) planted saplings in vases made of Reused PET Bottles. Mango Trees were also planted in the school nursery with great enthusiasm. Students took a pledge to nurture the newly planted saplings with great care.
We are glad to be a part of this global platform that enriches and sensitizes young minds to care for the environment.
MOTHERS DAY
A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the Mothers are God's unique gift to children and the world celebrates the supreme sacrifices made by mothers for their children on every second Sunday of May. Students of Cambridge wing Class 1-7 celebrated Mother's day on 6 May, 2022 to express their love and gratitude for their mothers.
MOTHERS DAY ASSEMBLY
A special assembly was organized on 9 May, 2022 for classes 1- 4 Cambridge. Our little starlings expressed their love and gratitude for their mothers through recitation of poems and by giving beautiful dance performances
Eco enzyme activity
Our School takes the initiative of caring for the Mother Earth, starting from the Kitchen. Every year, the students have been preparing the best household helper: general cleaner, air purifier, insect repellent, laundry cleaner, car care, organic fertiliser etc in the form of ECO ENZYME.
The students of Cambridge wing brought fruits and vegetable peels from home. The kitchen waste was then mixed with jaggery. This smelly waste will then be stored in an isolated room till July, with regular stirring during the first month. This mixture will then be strained with the help of a muslin cloth, and will be collected in washed and reused Lemonade bottles.
Our students are hence taught entrepreneurial skills along with environmental awareness and thereby learning to work for people, planet and profit.

ATL COMMUNITY DAY
Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura celebrated ATL Community Day to commemorate Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti. Students from Manthan, SVK, NGO were invited to visit the Atal Tinkering Lab of the school. Activities were organized for the children by students of Neoteric Innovators Club and School Innovation Ambassadors Club, which included visit to Dr. Abdul Kalam Science Park, session in 3D Lab, Project Display, hands session on 3D Printing using Tinkercad and Basic concepts of Electronics and others. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal congratulated the clubs for their enthusiasm in the success of the event.

FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATED
Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura celebrated its 42 Foundation Day with a lot of zeal and zest. It paid sincere gratitude to the founders of this school for their vision and commitment. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal congratulated everyone in the school on this significant day and urged them to uphold the ideals of the founder stalwarts and the values of the hallowed institution. A poster making competition, Dharohar, was organized on the occasion. Winning entries were displayed on the bulletin board. A presentation depicting the continuous and unending saga of the school was shown to students of all classes.

Health and Wellness Induction
The Health and Wellness Club induction 2022 was inaugurated by Principal Mrs. Seema Agrawal with lighting of lamp and was presided over by Dr. Chand Kiran, Gynaecologist, Saroj Hospital. The event demonstrated the panorama of health activities held throughout the previous year and apprised the audience about the current year’s health planner. The newly appointed Club Council Members pledged to uphold the values of the club and promote its motto of service before self. Around hundred health volunteers and club coordinators participated in the ceremony. The newly appointed deserving health ambassadors were bestowed with the responsibility of spreading the message of health and wellness to all and lead the school from the front with their commitment, passion and competence. The school Administrator, Mrs. Anita Wadehra sent her blessings through a voice message and wished good luck to all the participants. Guest Dr. Chand Kiran appreciated and lauded the efforts of young ambassadors for their commendable services and awarded certificates of excellence.

HEALTH DAY REPORT
Health and Wellness Club of Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura celebrated World Health Day on the theme ‘Our Planet, Our Health’. The event was inaugurated by School Principal Ms Seema Agarwal. A number of health activities were organized by the Club for classes LKG to XII to ignite the young minds about making healthy food choices and to devise advocacy strategies for managing various lifestyle diseases. Some of these activites were Poster making, Slogan making, fireless cooking, salad making, vegetable painting and various other health games. The activities were not only fun filled but also were very effective in developing a mental schema in cognitive domain of students for making informed health decisions. Health brochures were also distributed among the students and signature campaign against tobacco use was launched. School Principal Ms. Seema Agarwal lauded the Health and Wellness club for their commendable job in spreading the much-needed information amongst children and society at large, especially during the testing times of Covid.
