RUN for DAV: A Step Towards Health, Unity, and National Values 🌟
On October 2, 2024, DLDAV Model School, Pitampura, proudly organized the 'RUN for DAV' on the occasion of 'Gandhi Jayanti'. The event saw an overwhelming participation of 102 enthusiastic students from different classes, coming together to commemorate the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi—health, peace, unity, and service.
The day was filled with energy and fervour as students took part in 2 Km and 5 Km RUN.
This initiative not only emphasized the importance of physical fitness but also fostered a strong sense of social responsibility and national values in today’s world.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the DAV Managing Committee for this wonderful opportunity, and to our esteemed Principal Mrs. Anupama Sinha ma'am for providing the platform and constant guidance and encouragement. A special thanks to the sports faculty of our school for their meticulous planning and flawless organization, making this event a grand success. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Parent community for their unwavering support and enthusiasm.

GANDHI JAYANTI 2024
The Junior Wing of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a heartfelt and captivating presentation for Pre-Primary and Class I students. The event was a beautiful tribute to the invaluable lessons from the life of Mahatma Gandhi, which continue to inspire generations. Additionally, the children paid homage to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, another revered leader, whose birthday coincides with that of Gandhiji.
The students extended a warm and endearing welcome to our esteemed Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Anupama Sinha, whose visionary leadership and enthusiasm have played a pivotal role in shaping young minds. Her guidance has been instrumental in nurturing a learning environment where values and creativity flourish hand-in-hand.
The event was a resounding success, as the young students showcased their immense talent and creativity, bringing Gandhiji's principles to life through an engaging musical skit. The skit highlighted the major movements and milestones in Mahatma Gandhi’s life, allowing the children to understand and appreciate the significance of his actions and beliefs.
Following the presentation, the students were inspired to take a solemn pledge to follow Gandhiji's life lessons and to keep his values alive in their own lives. They promised never to let anyone forget the enduring importance of truth, non-violence, and integrity, which Gandhiji championed.
This tribute to the Father of the Nation was not only a showcase of the children’s artistic abilities but also a poignant reminder of the relevance of Gandhian values in today’s world. The celebration was a meaningful experience for all involved, and a testament to the power of education in nurturing moral and ethical growth from an early age.

PEACE DAY
The Junior Wing of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, celebrated World Peace Day.
Our venerated Principal Ma'am, Mrs. Anupama Sinha, a vibrant and charismatic leader, received a hearty and enthusiastic welcome from our adorable tiny tots in a supremely cute and endearing way.
Tiny tots of classes Nursery, Pre-Primary and Class 1 emphasized the importance of Peace in the world.
Children dressed up as Peace Ambassadors and put forward their ideologies for world peace. They tapped their feet to the tunes of peace related melodies. Children also recited slogans and acronyms of the word PEACE to promote peace in the world.
A thought provoking Nukkad Natak was also presented by the young torch bearers of peace.
The event was truly appreciated by everyone!

SWACHHTA HI SEWA CAMPAIGN 2024
Across the country, celebrations under the name of ‘Swacch Bharat’ are being carried out, with a heightened emphasis on cleanliness and environmental sustainability under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata.”
Under the guidance and support of our esteemed principal ma’am,the campaign was initiated in our school too, inculcating values of cleanliness and hygiene in the students.
To celebrate and develop the same various activities have been conducted in and around our school too and following objectives have been achieved:

Brief Report on activities done in classroom to raise awareness amongst students:
ACTIVITY 1: PLEDGE
Description: Students of class 3 took pledge in the classroom in both English and Hindi where the cleanliness and hygiene importance has been imbibed by the students. The students were made to understand that similar to the basic essentials of life like food, water, shelter, cleanliness also holds great significance in life. ACTIVITY 2: CLEANLINESS MARCH AND DRIVE
Description: A cleanliness march was done in and around the school where the students spoke slogans to create awareness and knowledge about cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation. The students have been in their high spirits and enjoyed the march in full enthusiasm.The students also done cleanliness drive where they were senstisize about keeping their environment clean. The students cleaned the ground by picking up the litter and throwing in the bin. This aimed at keeping the environment clean and tidy.
ACTIVITY 3: BOOKMARK AND SLOGAN MAKING
Description: An art integrated activity had been conducted in the class where students made bookmarks and wrote slogans in hindi .Later, the slogans were recited in the classroom and students enjoyed it to the fullest.
0ACTIVITY 4: AWARENESS RELATED TO TABLE MANNERS
Description: An interactive session on dining etiquettes and hygiene practices was conducted for classes II-III. Teachers demonstrated proper use of utensils and napkins and correct hnadwashing techniques before meals. The activity significantly improved awareness about hygiene during meals among students.
ACTIVITY 5: POEM RECITATION
Description: Poem recitation activity was conducted to engage students in promoting cleanliness awareness through poetry.Students showcased their impressive creativity and passion for the cause.The activity not only enhanced creative skills but also strengthen their understanding of cleanliness.
ACTIVITY 6: SENSITIZING SERVICE PROVIDERS ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
Description: The school service staff was appreciated and acknowledged about their important role in maintaining cleanliness. They were also demonstrated of some eco friendly methods.They were also encouraged for the positive reinforcement of the drive.
CONCLUSION:
This enhance report encapsulates the essence of the cleanliness and sanitation, highlighting their significance in equipping all the stakeholders(students, service providers, and school teachers) with vital skills for personal and environmental development related to cleanliness and using interactive methods to teach cleanliness skills to the learners.
With this, the learners, as a community, develop the ability to keep their environment clean, and used imbibed skills to bring behavioural change in them. There is no doubt that cleanliness comes from within, so one should reflect from within and let it flow in the outer environment.

On September 3, 2024, the senior wing of the school organized a celebration of Teachers' Day in the Mahatma Hansraj Auditorium. The student councils from classess X,XI and XII,along with the students of Courage House,greeted Principal Ma'am, Ms. Anupama Sinha. Ma'am extended her blessings to the students for their future endeavors and success. The event showcased a vibrant and colorful cultural program meticulously crafted by the students to convey their deep gratitude to their mentors—the educators—who tirelessly commit themselves to the success of their students.

It is indeed a moment of immense joy to share that DL DAV Model School Pitampura celebrated its sixth anniversary of Atal Tinkering Lab.The Lab was inaugurated in 2018under the aegis of Atal Innovation Mission , NITI Aayog and has been channelizing learning towards the application of innovative skills,contributing towards a robust future in a sustainable world.
An Expert Mentor session was organised for students to gain insights for creating value in their innovation by Mr. Utkarsh Ahuja, Regional Mentor of Change for Delhi, Director of Contriver Autonomous Systems Pvt Ltd, GEM of Mentor India 2022, and Expert Evaluation Panel Member for AIM North Delhi.

Ensemble, a multi-talented exhibition which was organized by DL DAV Model School Pitampura, on 9 August 2024, focused on ingraining a scientific and creative attitude in our young students. The unwavering support and visionary leadership of the Principal Ms. Anupama Sinha has been pivotal in the resounding success of the event. The students participated fervently and zealously, making it a grand event. The participants gave enthralling performances that exhibited projects on Literature, Environmental issues, Science, Mathematics, and History. The exhibition aimed to engage children and teachers, to synergize experiences and motivate each other to design, develop and present something novel. Revered judges and parents appreciated the endeavors of the school in cultivating a platform where every child got an opportunity to participate.

JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
PS - Pansy, Pre-Primary A, Class 1 A
Janmashtami, birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu was celebrated with great mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, the soothing aroma of camphor, and the jingle of bells filled the air whilst our natkhat kanhas and charming radhas added the feeling of devotion, creativity and exhuberance in the aura. The event aimed to educate students about the significance of the festival while providing an enjoyable and interactive experience to all the spectators. The entire school premises was adorned with colorful decorations, including matkis, floral arrangements, and festive lights. A special focus was given to creating scenes depicting Krishna’s famous life incidents. The celebrations began with
auspicious welcoming of Lord Krishna followed by dramatisation of his life events in a joyous spirit of enthrallment. The participants also showcased stunning and graceful dances with acute expressions and rhythm. The Janmashtami celebrations were a resounding success, marked by vibrant activities, cultural performances, and active participation from the entire school. The event not only highlighted the significance of Lord Krishna’s teachings but also provided an opportunity for students to engage with and appreciate Hindu traditions.Principal Ms. Anupama Sinha and Supervisory Head In-charge Ms. Simmi Mahajan admired and acknowledged the efforts of the participants and the teachers. D.L.D.A.V. Model School, Pitampura, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with grandeur. Ms. Rekha Gupta, the esteemed MCD Councilor representing Shalimar Bagh (ward number 56), was the Chief Guest. Principal Ms. Anupma Sinha delivered an inspiring speech on unity and the importance of oneness among the Indian youth.
The event featured a variety of patriotic performances, stirring speeches, and colorful cultural programs, highlighting the school's dedication to national pride and unity. Students and staff came together to pay a heartfelt tribute to India's journey to freedom and the enduring spirit of independence.
The festivities continued with a kite-flying activity, where Class XII students created and decorated vibrant kites adorned with patriotic slogans and danced to traditional music, adding a joyful and celebratory atmosphere to the day.

The students of Junior Wing proudly commemorated Independence Day with a heartfelt presentation that embodied the true spirit of patriotism and national pride. The event began with a grand welcome to Principal Ma'am followed by the prestigious flag-hoisting ceremony. The students adorned in vibrant tricolor costumes extended a warm and respectful greeting to Principal Ma'am, In-Charge Ma'am and the parents setting a patriotic tone for the day.
The entire event was driven by the passionate involvement of students from classes-PS Daisy,Pre-Primary B and Class 1- C .Not only did the narrators eloquently articulate the significance of Independence Day but the students also actively brought the day to life through engaging and informative presentations. They reflected on the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and shed light on the deep meaning behind the national flag capturing the hearts of all present.
The school reverberated with bold and inspiring slogans of revered freedom fighters. The students with unwavering conviction, chanted "Inquilab Zindabad" and "Jai Hind," reminding everyone of the indomitable spirit that led to India's Independence.
Kites soared high, carrying messages of hope and dreams, while students performed energetic dance performances on patriotic songs captivating the audience. The school was beautifully adorned with tricolor decorations, enhancing the spirit of the day. The event was a resounding success showcasing the student’s love for the country and their commitment to the dream of a free and prosperous India. The presentations not only highlighted the talent of our students but also reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values that define our great nation. Every corner of the school was thoroughly adorned symbolizing unity, pride, and patriotism ..
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and was applauded by the parents who were full of gaiety and praises and they all loved to witness their children performing .

THE GWC INDUCTION SESSION
The Global Watch Club (GWC) hosted its eagerly awaited induction ceremony on August 27th, 2024. The event was infused with excitement and pride as our respected Principal, Mrs. Anupama Sinha, along with supervisory heads and distinguished guests, gathered to celebrate the collective and individual efforts that have brought laurels to the school.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Nitin Dhawan, an accomplished entrepreneur and sustainability advocate, was warmly welcomed , with his significant contributions to the VONG Movement receiving special recognition.
Following the speech of Principal ma’am, the Global Watch Club was spotlighted as a cornerstone initiative of the school, highlighting global citizenship and environmental stewardship through various impactful projects. These included Sambhaav Care n Share, Generation Global, the Global Virtual Classroom, and the ENO Plantation initiative. The club's wholeheartedness to sustainability and global collaboration was evident throughout the ceremony, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
The ceremony concluded with a reflection on the club's ongoing commitment to global citizenship. In addition , the GWC Student Council was also felicitated with certificates by our honorable Principal ma’am and the distinguished guest.

Our Atal Tinkering Lab has been encouraging a wider grasp of creativity, tinkering, social and technological skills, and establishing global links for students.

MOSAIC - A Symphony of Talent and Innovation
On Saturday, May 18, 2024, D.L.D.A.V. Model School, Pitampura, came alive with the vibrant celebration of EXPO 2024, aptly titled "MOSAIC: A Symphony of Talent and Innovation." The event was graced by the Hon'ble Shri Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), as the Chief Guest. His presence and the inauguration of the event added to the excitement and prestige of the occasion.
EXPO 2024 showcased the remarkable creativity, innovation, and teamwork of our students from classes VII to X, as well as those from the Cambridge wing. The theme of the event was aligned with the International Year of Camelids 2024, celebrating the significance and contributions of camelids to various ecosystems and cultures worldwide.
The event featured an array of exhibits and projects that highlighted the students' ingenuity and hard work. From innovative science projects and art installations to cultural performances and technological demonstrations, every display reflected the diverse talents and dedication of our young minds. INVESTITURE CEREMONY
DL.D.A.V. Model School, Pitampura, organized its Investiture Ceremony to confer responsibilities on the newly elected members of the Senior Students' Council for the academic year 2024-2025. This momentous occasion saw the young leaders ready to assume their roles and fulfill the duties entrusted to them by the school.
The ceremony commenced with an inspiring speech by Dr. Reeta Maheshwari, Teacher In-Charge. In her address, she congratulated the newly appointed council members and acknowledged their readiness to take on their responsibilities. She then administered the oath to the council members, who pledged their allegiance to the school. The newly elected members, brimming with confidence, committed to performing their duties with integrity and diligence.
Additionally, prefects from all five houses were sworn in, highlighting the unity within the school community. Students from classes X, XI, and XII enthusiastically cheered for their new leaders. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

DL.D.A.V Model School, Pitampura, marked another significant milestone with its Annual Prize Distribution event, Avtaran 2022-23. The occasion was honored by the esteemed Padam Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. Guiding the ceremony was Padam Shri Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Vice President of the DAV College Managing Committee and Chairman of the school.
The evening showcased extraordinary cultural displays, including the harmonious "Sur aur Saaz" musical segment, the soulful "Om Vandana," and the enthralling Hindi ballet, Dashavtar. The school's Annual Magazine Asmita was unveiled by the esteemed dignitaries.
The School Principal,Seema Agarwal, highlighted the innovative initiatives of the academic year 2022-23 and appreciated the remarkable accomplishments of the students. She acknowledged the school's management, devoted faculty, alumni, supportive guardians, and eager learners. Confluence - The Career Fair 2023
Confluence - The Career Fair 2023 was organized by the school on November 4, Saturday, 2023, in collaboration with Vidyamandir Classes (VMC). The primary aim of the event was to enlighten and guide parents and students of classes IX-XII, offering comprehensive information about potential career options in various fields post-class XII.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from resource persons representing more than 20 national and international universities. They effectively highlighted the diverse range of courses offered, making the event a grand success. It served as an incredible platform, providing valuable insights and personalized advice, making it exceptionally helpful for attendees in shaping their desired career paths.

Interschool Sports Skating Spectacle
The School hosted "Speedy Showdown," an Interschool Sports Skating Spectacle on November 4, Saturday 23. Mrs. Anita Wadehra, former principal, was the Guest of Honour . Nearly 120 students from reputed schools exhibited their skating skills in the competition.
The school won the prestigious trophy. Ms. Seema Agarwal, the principal of the school, motivated and inspired the participants to continue their passion and promoted the spirit of healthy competition.

The Sambhaav-Care and Share Diwali Charity Fair was organized by the school on November 4, 2023, Saturday in collaboration with the Global Watch Club demonstrated a commendable effort to contribute to the well-being of the needy people.
The involvement of students and teachers from classes II to XII, under the able guidance of the School Principal, showcased a collaborative effort in creating and selling products for a noble cause. The decision to donate the collected funds to Help Age India Club and Rotary Club reinforces the school's dedication to meaningful partnerships and social responsibility. National Unity Day
The school celebrated National unity Day in the school under the flagship of Ministry of Tourism, India on October 31,2023,Tuesday, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,a key figure in the National Integration of independent India.
The day was adorned with the motivational speech by the revered Principal ma'am, Mrs. Seema Agarwal. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was marked by the unanimous pledge taken by the students of class IX, Tourism club volunteers and the teaching fraternity . A Unity run was also organized where everyone participated with zeal and zest.
The event united the students with the ideology of empowering each other with undying support and strength.

Cyber Hygiene and Safety Awareness Workshop
A workshop on Cyber Hygiene and Cyber Safety Awareness was organized for teachers on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in the school auditorium under the aegis of the Center for Academic Excellence, DAV College Managing Committee. Dr. Rakshit Tandon, a seasoned Cyber Security Evangelist, served as the resource person.
It was an interactive session where many important day-to-day issues regarding cyber security were discussed.
The session was very informative and imparted valuable insights into online security, authentic websites and the right procedure to report cyber threats.

Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Awareness (POCSO) Workshop
The school organized POCSO Act Awareness workshop on Friday, September 22, 2023,in the school auditorium for the school teachers, under the aegis of the Centre for Academic Excellence, DAV College Managing Committee. The workshop was led by Mr. Abhishek, an advocate and Head of the Policy and Advocacy division at Cyber Peace.
The purpose of the workshop was to educate regarding the significance of online safety for students and teachers . It underlined the necessity for schools to implement preventive measures and establish accessible reporting systems to protect children from sexual abuse.
The workshop was an interactive and well-crafted session aimed at empowering teachers to sensitize students about their rights and responsibilities while using the internet, making them proactive in ensuring online safety.

The school organized workshop for the students of classes X and XII on Stress Management by Mr. Brij Mohan, co-founder ,VMC on *October 18,2023, Wednesday in the school auditorium.
The primary aim of this workshop was to equip the students with the knowledge necessary to identify, understand, and effectively cope with the various factors contributing to stress during their academic journey. Furthermore, it aimed to provide them with a toolkit of stress-reduction techniques.
The workshop proved to be an interactive and engaging experience, fostering open dialogue between the students and the speaker. During the session, students were encouraged to express the sources of stress they encounter in their daily lives, especially concerning their academic pursuits.
This event was a testament to the school's commitment to the holistic development and well-being of its students.

Career Counseling Workshop
The school organized an informative and interactive workshop on Tuesday,October 17,2023, in the school auditorium on Exploration of commerce and finance professional courses exclusively for Classes XI and XII commerce students. The session featured Mr. Manu Goyal, a distinguished Chartered Accountant and member of ICAI and currently serving as an assistant professor at Shaheed Sukhdev College, DU.
The workshop's agenda encompassed a wide array of topics, the necessary study materials, alignment of these courses with the Class XI and XII commerce curriculum, strategies and comprehensive insights into the Chartered Accountancy course – covering registration, free study resources, recommended starting points, available exemptions, and career pathways.
The students expressed their enthusiasm and curiosity about their future in the field of commerce industry .The session was insightful and educative.

The school organized an enlightening workshop in collaboration with VMC(vidyamandir classes) on the theme Discover the joys of Science for the students of classes VII,VIII and IX on Tuesday, 10 October, 2023 in the school auditorium.
The students very enthusiastically participated in the practical ways of learning Science. It was an interactive session that showcased that science could be a source of amusement and enjoyment. It was motivating and inspiring for the students to explore and experiment the discoveries of Science.

The school celebrated its Annual Cultural Extravaganza, Gratitude Day-Timeless Ties to honor the gracious Grandparents of junior wing students, school Alumni, PTA members, and Safety and Security council representatives on Friday, October 20, 2023. It was a captivating and heartwarming celebration. A special assembly was held to mark the historic moment of Chandrayaan 3's success and the soft landing of the Vikran lander on the moon. The nation's advancement in space exploration was celebrated with immense pride.
The school organized a four-day "Road Safety Campaign," titled "Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha," during which the Road Safety Brigade sensitized students, parents, and the community about safe driving and the importance of obeying safety rules on the roads.
A safety and security Awareness programme was organized to sensitize teachers and support staff about the handling and operating of the fire safety instruments installed in the school and on the need to be vigilant and alert .A similar exercise on testing and operation of water cannons was held.
The School's Health and Wellness Club, in collaboration with the National Tobacco Control Program, Public Health Foundation of India, and HRIDAY (NGO), initiated an Anti-Tobacco Campaign. ROCKSPORT - CLIMB UP ADVENTURE EDUCATION CAMP (CAMBRIDGE)
DL DAV MODEL School, ND block, PITAMPURA ,CAMBRIDGE WING organised an Adventure Camp for students of classes 1st to 7th under the supervision of teachers and professional instructors from Rocksport. It was a day camp that offered a positive and safe environment which encouraged children to develop motor skills, build confidence, encounter challenging new experiences and enjoy quality time outdoors. This camp helped them to develop basic athletic skills such as balancing coordination and to enjoy the adventures. The students arrived bubbling with excitement as they headed to participate in such activities for the first time. It encompassed an array of adventure activities like Commando Net, Commando Crawl, Trampoline, Zorb Roller, Rappelling, Zip Line, Parallel Rope, Balancing Beam, Magical maze, Burma bridge, Hopscotch and Laser beam. The children participated with zeal and were delighted when they completed each task. Every activity aimed at honing a different skill. The students managed to cross the Zip Line confidently. Adrenaline rush during all the activities was high. Students had a joyful and thrilling experience. Surely, the camp concluded with unforgettable memories.

Crescendo-Fostering fitness (sports mania) was organized from 7th December to 9 th December, 2022 which was filled with fun and enthusiasm. The program was inaugurated by our respected Principal ma'am and supervisory head, followed by a well synchronized March-past by the students. Interesting games and competitions were the main highlights of the day. The students participated in fascinating sports events like lemon spoon race, flat race, cross hurdle, sack race, hurdle race, hula hoop race, basket with tennis ball, 60M race, backpack race etc.The young athletes were encouraged and cheered throughout the races. The students showcased a great sense of discipline and skills. The spirit of sportsmanship was in the air, creating an atmosphere of festivity and jubilance.

MOVIE PROMOTION
Frenzy and excitement was at its peak when the star cast of 'Rocket Gang' lit fire on the stage on 1 Nov22 to promote the movie. A directorial debut of Bollywood ace choreographer Bosco .The movie is the roller coaster ride of friendship,comaraderie ,love and dance as the team of 5 dancer children step into the biggest dance competition to fullfill their dreams .The team along with all the five actors of the movie and the five kids of dance reality show fame came dancing on the stage. Aditya Seal ,Nikita Dutta, Jason Tham ,Mokshada Jaikhani ,Sahib Singh Chahal along with the five dancing kids Jayshree Gogoi ,Aadvik Mongia, Deepali Borkar ,Tejas Verma and Siddhant Sharma were all present for the promotion. Students were assembled in the ground and the movie team was cheered up with thunderous claps.The Principal, Mrs Seema Aggarwal wished the star cast all the best and thanked them for having chosen DL DAV PITAM PURA as the venue for the promotion of the movie which will be released on 11 November 2022.

DL DAV Model School, Pitampura hosted SHE STEM 2022 as part of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week, to celebrate women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics(STEM) and sustainability. The annual event was organized by the Embassy of Sweden in India in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and German Centre of Innovation and Research.
The school also organized Tech Spectacle, a boulevard of erudition, to showcase innovative projects of students which focused on solving problems by applying skills and integrating technology to achieve sustainable development goals.

YOUTH IDEATHON
Team AI Gloves, of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, comprising of Gautam Gupta of class XII and Sanchi Bansal and Pratyush Mehra of class IX made it to the top 10 teams (out of 7000 teams from all over India) in YOUTH IDEATHON 2022 organised by CBSE in collaboration with Management and Entrepreneurship and Professional Skill Council. The students and the Teacher Coordinator were felicitated in a prestigious ceremony held at IIT Delhi. The students received gold medals and an Incubation Grant of Rs 1 lakh. DLDAV Model School, Pitampura organized Confluence - Career Fair for students of classes IX to XII. Mr. Jitin Chawla, CEO, Centre for Career Development, addressed the students on new emerging unconventional careers. He cleared doubts and answered student queries. POSHAN ABHIYAAN
DLDAV Model School, Pitampura observed POSHAN MAAH – a Govt. of India flagship program with full enthusiasm and vigor. A number of activities were organized on the occasion which aimed to sensitize children of all grades on Nutrition, through organizing healthy diet competition and health questionnaire with thought provoking questions. Regular yoga and physical activities were conducted in the assembly in the zero period for Health and physical well being.

4TH ANNIVERSARY OF ATAL TINKERING LAB
DLDAV Model School, Pitampura celebrated its fourth anniversary of Atal Tinkering Lab which was inaugurated in 2018, under the aegis of Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog. The Lab has been very instrumental in channelizing learning towards the application of innovative skills and contributing towards a robust future in a sustainable world. The guest on the occasion, Associate Prof. Dhananjay V Gadre, from Netaji Subash University of Technology presented a range of 20-25 unique and innovative projects developed under his guidance which focused on electronics and engineering concepts. He inaugurated the ATL Website developed by peer young Innovation Ambassadors – Anamika Sharma, Shivansh Shah Chawla, Sanchi Bansal and Advit Goel. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal expressed gratitude to Prof. Dhananjay for taking out his valuable time to mentor students and motivate them to innovate and create.

Generation Global is an interactive platform, where students from different nationalities communicate with each other using a systematic dialogue. The topic for this Video Conference on the 28th of September was ‘Art Of Expression’, where students of DAV Pitampura from India, a school from Indonesia, and 4 different schools from India came together to discuss the art of expressing themselves.
It was a wonderful opportunity for them to respect each other’s opinions, to put forth their views in a constructive and meaningful way, and to explore each other’s perspectives.

Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, which aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.Every year MUN session is organised at the Cambridge wing for one day,this year it was held on 24th, September 2022 for classes 1 to 7.Different committees like UNHRC (United nations human rights council),Human Rights Council (HRC) Committee etc are assigned to classes and students of a particular class act as Delegates work towards debating the many aspects of the given agendas of Sustainable development goals. At this conference, the students learned about the importance of coming together to achieve a common goal in the true spirit of the United Nations.

DLDAVPP participated in Life Link student exchange virtual conference 2022 - a two day event hosted on 20th and the 21st of june, virtually over zoom, by Life-Link Friendship-Schools Association, Sweden. The purpose of this programme was to empower students to undertake actions for peace and sustainability for their school and community as well as to guide fellow schools and students across the world. Students from different schools from Bahrain, Egypt, Estonia, Iran, Lithuania, Russia and Sweden participated in this informative and proactive event. The DLDAVPP Team comprised of 8 students - Abhilasha Shokeen and Sanchi Bansal from class IX, Aarna Rawat, Sarah Kumar, Suhani Gupta, Saksham Gupta, Shivansh Shah Chawla from class X and Yajur Rai Chhabra from class XI and the teacher coordinator Ms Shaily Chawla. Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block Pitampura celebrated the 75th Independence Day -Azadi ka Amritotsav with great zeal and zest. The celebration was spread over a number of days with an array of activities and competitions to arouse patriotic fervor and pride for the glorious history of the country.
Special Assemblies were organised by different wings of the school ie. Nursery, Primary, Cambridge, Middle, Senior and Senior Secondary.
Principal Mrs. Seema Agrawal hoisted the National flag on 13th August 2022 followed by National Anthem and National song. The school choir presented a medley of patriotic songs accompanied by a talented orchestra team. Mesmerizing dances showcasing the incredible diversity of the country, yet bonded by a unique sense of unity captivated the audience. Poems on the significance of the day were recited to infuse love for the country. The bagpiper band of the school impressed one and all. The sight of hundreds of students waving the National flag with reverence and pride was indeed soul stirring.
The celebration was flagged off by different competitions organised for different classes and Houses of the school. These included slogan writing on kites, badge making, poster making, folder making and others. The competitions elicited an overwhelming response from students who participated with great enthusiasm. The winning entries were displayed on bulletin boards. The school wore a festive look with hundreds of National flags adorning every nook and corner of the school. The selfie point depicting the "Har Ghar Tiranga" program attracted children and teachers alike. Tricolor balloons were released symbolizing the march of the nation to glory and height. The kite flying competition organised for senior secondary classes filled the entire atmosphere with awe and jubilation.
Prabhat pheries were taken out by students and teachers in the neighborhood. Students holding tricolours in their hands and singing patriotic songs drew the attention of the crowds who cheered them with joy.
School Principal Mrs. Seema Agrawal expressed great happiness on the celebration of Azadi ka Amritotsav and urged students to remember the unbelievable sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. She reminded them of their responsibilities and remarkable role they would play in nation building. She conveyed gratitude to the authorities for the meticulous planning and execution of the National festival and its tremendous impact on every student and staff of the school. Crossroads 2022
Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura organized its annual event CROSSROADS 2022, an array of Virtual Interschool Competitions. The event drew an overwhelming response and around 1600 students from 81 schools participated in the 15 subject related competitions. Eminent judges from different walks of life were approached to judge the entries and e-certificates were awarded to the winners and participants. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal congratulated all the participants for the commendable entries and appreciated the tireless efforts of the computer staff and the teacher coordinators for the flawless planning and execution of the mega event. The host school bagged the rolling trophy for the highest overall score. However, it was handed to the second best winner Adarsh Public School, Vikaspuri. Crossroads 2022 was a grand success.

Amazon Future Engineer Program
DL DAV Model School, Pitampura collaborated with Learning Links Foundation to launch Amazon Future Engineer Program for classes III-VIII and organized an Hour of Code session.
This is in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, that recommends the need for introducing computational skills at the schooling level.
The Amazon Future Engineer Program (AFE) inspires children to explore computer science (CS) and coding. It seeks to motivate them to pursue higher education and careers in computer science and also equips teachers with the skills to support students as they aspire for such careers.

Class X Expo 2022, a class wise virtual Annual Extravaganza with various relevant themes was held on 16th and 18th July, 2022. The event focused on bringing innovation, new levels of Insight and moments of great individual and collective accomplishment besides exposure to real-world issues.
This mega event promoted peer learning, teamwork and confidence, enhancing communication and technical skills among students. Summer Internship - HELPAGE India
Students of Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura participated in a summer internship program in the month of May-June in collaboration with Helpage India, an NGO working for social, economic and emotional needs of the elderly people. Thirty volunteers of class XII actively took part in various events of this training and learning programme. The program included visits to DMRC Helpage India Home, Govindpuri, Nagal Dewal, Slum area, Vasant kunj and India International Centre.
Students joined an international question and answer session organized by Helpage India to mark the World Elderly Abuse Day. The aim was to sensitize masses about health care, age care and anxiety issue among the elderly people.

Environment conservation is the need of hour keeping in mind the increasing pollution and population. The purpose of ECO club in schools is to create mass awareness amongst the large population. Investiture Ceremony to swear in the Student Council members and Prefectorial Board 2022-2023 was held. The House Flags handed to the Principal by House Teachers were received by the newly appointed House Prefects. Senior Head Boy Kapil Bhatia received the school flag along with Head Girl Chehak Oberoi, Deputy Head Boy Bhumanyu Samyal, Deputy Head Girl Vidhi Somani and other Council members. All these students pledged to uphold the tradition and values of the institution and perform their duties with sincerity and dedication. ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN
The Road Safety Brigade of DLDAV Model School , Pitampura organised a Two Day Road Safety Drive on 19th and 20th May , 2022 to sensitize students parents and community on safe driving and to obey safety rules on road.The Brigade aimed to raise awareness in and around school area about responsible behavior of people on roads. Issues like wrong side driving , rash driving , riding without helmets , wrong parking , chaos on roads were addressed for everyone’s safety. Commuters were also explained about the methods and necessities of road safety, which means they must understand the use of helmets or seat belts while driving on the road or anywhere.The mission was successful to a greater extent with the motto “Bringing Change through Youth Power” , thus following the theme for this year's campaign 'Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ which focuses on various measures people should adopt to comply with the safety regulations. The students showed enthusiastic participation in the program and it was indeed an enriching experience for the young Brigade.

Financial literacy is the ability to make informed judgements and to make effective decisions regarding the use and management of money. The single biggest difference between financial success and financial failure is how well you manage your money.The dedicated young financial maestro's of our school were bestowed with the responsibility of providing dynamic platform to the students for creating financial awareness which is just as important in life as the other basics, through their constant commited efforts on the occasion of induction ceremony of FINLIT CLUB held on 20th May, 2022. Our newly elected young financial brigade pledged to ensure everyone' s financial well being. Students presented a wonderful skit creating awareness about E Banking and Cyber frauds which was much appreciated by everyone. Mr Kapil Mahani,our alumnus from 2004 batch who is CEO and co founder of Cretum Advisory was guest of honour .He interacted with students and solved the queries of inquisitive minds. Keeping in view the above objective , the Induction Ceremony of Inquisitive Club was held on 11 May , 2022 at 8.30 am. The event began with the welcome of Principal mam followed by a lamp lighting ceremony . Heartfelt gratitude was expressed to the School Administrator Mrs Anita Wadehra for shaping and feeding the curiosity of the young minds through the initiation of Inquisitive Club . The guest of honour was Ms Joshika Saraf who is currently a lecturer and coordinator at Jindal Global Law School.
The achievements of members during the previous year and the goals for coming tenure had a special part in the presentation. Names of portfolio holders and student council were revealed and strategies were disclosed. The event concluded with new hopes and high vision. Principal Ma’am motivated the students with her words of wisdom and inspired us to achieve the desired objectives with the importance of “leadership”. Ms Joshika Saraf shared her experiences and motivated the students to strive ahead with excellence.
All the members from class II to XII were indeed feeling blessed to be a part of this vibrant club.The ceremony concluded with the blessings of the Almighty and the chanting of Shanti Path. FITNESS ASSEMBLY
DLDAV Model school Pitampura ,Cambridge wing conducted a Fitness assembly for classes 1&2 on 8th April ,2022.
The prime objective was to encourage them to inculcate the habit of exercise and sports in their daily routine . As it is aptly said "A healthy mind resides in a healthy body " , students of classes 1 & 2 were made to perform various free hand exercises like stretching, breathing, bending, standing, jumping and sitting drills under guidance of our sports teacher . Mahatma Hansraj day was celebrated on April 19 ,2022 by the students of Cambridge wing from classes 1 - 7 . The purpose of the celebration was to make the students aware about the life and contributions of Mahatma Hansraj and to derive inspiration from it. A video was shown to the students showcasing the journey of Mahatma Hansraj . Students chanted Om mantra, Bhajans in the morning assembly and also did art integrated activities related to the life of Mahatma Hansraj.
EARTH DAY
Students of classes 1-7 Cambridge wing celebrated Earth day on April 22, 2022 with full zeal and enthusiasm. Earth Day aims to “build the world's largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and the planet.” The movement's mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.” Students were sensitized with environmental issues and they performed art integrated and speaking activities based on ways to take care of mother earth .

ENO TREE PLANTATION DAY
Tree planting symbolizes sustainable development. A tree seedling represents ecosystem services where the tree during its lifetime hosts hundreds of other forest species, sequestration carbon, secures pure surface and ground water and stabilizes local climate”
Our Environment is important for us. Not only locally but also globally, around the world. Today it's time to lay focus on the environment. We do this special deed together with thousands of students and teaching communities around the world by being an active member of the ENO Community.
ENO has set a wonderful platform to remind us of nature and the importance of Environmental Protection. It also signifies cooperation between schools round the globe. To contribute our part of ENO’s mission, our school took part in the ENO tree plantation program wherein students of DLDAVPP Cambridge Wing and Junior Wing (II,III) planted saplings in vases made of Reused PET Bottles. Mango Trees were also planted in the school nursery with great enthusiasm. Students took a pledge to nurture the newly planted saplings with great care.
We are glad to be a part of this global platform that enriches and sensitizes young minds to care for the environment.
MOTHERS DAY
A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the Mothers are God's unique gift to children and the world celebrates the supreme sacrifices made by mothers for their children on every second Sunday of May. Students of Cambridge wing Class 1-7 celebrated Mother's day on 6 May, 2022 to express their love and gratitude for their mothers.
MOTHERS DAY ASSEMBLY
A special assembly was organized on 9 May, 2022 for classes 1- 4 Cambridge. Our little starlings expressed their love and gratitude for their mothers through recitation of poems and by giving beautiful dance performances
Eco enzyme activity
Our School takes the initiative of caring for the Mother Earth, starting from the Kitchen. Every year, the students have been preparing the best household helper: general cleaner, air purifier, insect repellent, laundry cleaner, car care, organic fertiliser etc in the form of ECO ENZYME.
The students of Cambridge wing brought fruits and vegetable peels from home. The kitchen waste was then mixed with jaggery. This smelly waste will then be stored in an isolated room till July, with regular stirring during the first month. This mixture will then be strained with the help of a muslin cloth, and will be collected in washed and reused Lemonade bottles.
Our students are hence taught entrepreneurial skills along with environmental awareness and thereby learning to work for people, planet and profit.

WORLD HEALTH DAY
World Health Day was celebrated on 7 th April ,2022 to spread awareness about the overall health and well-being of students . Various health activities were organized class wise and students were made aware about the importance of healthy eating habits, washing of hands before and after eating , personal health and hygiene and importance of physical exercises in our life .
FITNESS ASSEMBLY
DLDAV Model school Pitampura ,Cambridge wing conducted a Fitness assembly for classes 1&2 on 8th April ,2022.
The prime objective was to encourage them to inculcate the habit of exercise and sports in their daily routine . As it is aptly said "A healthy mind resides in a healthy body " , students of classes 1 & 2 were made to perform various free hand exercises like stretching, breathing, bending, standing, jumping and sitting drills under guidance of our sports teacher . Little learners enjoyed the free hand exercise sessions and also felt energetic.

MAHATMA HANSRAJ DAY
Mahatma Hansraj day was celebrated on April 19 ,2022 by the students of Cambridge wing from classes 1 - 7 . The purpose of the celebration was to make the students aware about the life and contributions of Mahatma Hansraj and to derive inspiration from it.A video was shown to the students showcasing the journey of Mahatma Hansraj . Students chanted Om mantra, Bhajans in the morning assembly and also did art integrated activities related to the life of Mahatma Hansraj.
EARTH DAY
Students of classes 1-7 Cambridge wing celebrated Earth day on April 22, 2022 with full zeal and enthusiasm. Earth Day aims to “build the world's largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and the planet.” The movement's mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.” Students were sensitized with environmental issues and they performed art integrated and speaking activities based on ways to take care of mother earth .
WORLD BOOK DAY
World Book Day was celebrated by Cambridge wing students from classes on 23 April, 2022 *A book is a man’s best friend* The purpose of celebrating book day was to inculcate reading habits among students as reading develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge and lessons while at the same time keeps our mind active. To mark this day, students made beautiful book marks, filled colors in their favorite cartoon characters and spoke about their favorite books and authors.
ENO TREE PLANTATION DAY
Tree planting symbolizes sustainable development. A tree seedling represents ecosystem services where the tree during its lifetime hosts hundreds of other forest species, sequestration carbon, secures pure surface and ground water and stabilizes local climate”
Our Environment is important for us. Not only locally but also globally, around the world. Today it's time to lay focus on the environment. We do this special deed together with thousands of students and teaching communities around the world by being an active member of the ENO Community.
ENO has set a wonderful platform to remind us of nature and the importance of Environmental Protection. It also signifies cooperation between schools round the globe. To contribute our part of ENO’s mission, our school took part in the ENO tree plantation program wherein students of DLDAVPP Cambridge Wing and Junior Wing (II,III) planted saplings in vases made of Reused PET Bottles. Mango Trees were also planted in the school nursery with great enthusiasm. Students took a pledge to nurture the newly planted saplings with great care.
We are glad to be a part of this global platform that enriches and sensitizes young minds to care for the environment.
MOTHERS DAY
A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the Mothers are God's unique gift to children and the world celebrates the supreme sacrifices made by mothers for their children on every second Sunday of May. Students of Cambridge wing Class 1-7 celebrated Mother's day on 6 May, 2022 to express their love and gratitude for their mothers.
MOTHERS DAY ASSEMBLY
A special assembly was organized on 9 May, 2022 for classes 1- 4 Cambridge. Our little starlings expressed their love and gratitude for their mothers through recitation of poems and by giving beautiful dance performances
Eco enzyme activity
Our School takes the initiative of caring for the Mother Earth, starting from the Kitchen. Every year, the students have been preparing the best household helper: general cleaner, air purifier, insect repellent, laundry cleaner, car care, organic fertiliser etc in the form of ECO ENZYME.
The students of Cambridge wing brought fruits and vegetable peels from home. The kitchen waste was then mixed with jaggery. This smelly waste will then be stored in an isolated room till July, with regular stirring during the first month. This mixture will then be strained with the help of a muslin cloth, and will be collected in washed and reused Lemonade bottles.
Our students are hence taught entrepreneurial skills along with environmental awareness and thereby learning to work for people, planet and profit.

Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura celebrated ATL Community Day to commemorate Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti. Students from Manthan, SVK, NGO were invited to visit the Atal Tinkering Lab of the school. Activities were organized for the children by students of Neoteric Innovators Club and School Innovation Ambassadors Club, which included visit to Dr. Abdul Kalam Science Park, session in 3D Lab, Project Display, hands session on 3D Printing using Tinkercad and Basic concepts of Electronics and others. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal congratulated the clubs for their enthusiasm in the success of the event.

Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura celebrated its 42 Foundation Day with a lot of zeal and zest. It paid sincere gratitude to the founders of this school for their vision and commitment. Principal Mrs. Seema Agarwal congratulated everyone in the school on this significant day and urged them to uphold the ideals of the founder stalwarts and the values of the hallowed institution. A poster making competition, Dharohar, was organized on the occasion. Winning entries were displayed on the bulletin board. A presentation depicting the continuous and unending saga of the school was shown to students of all classes.

Health and Wellness Induction
The Health and Wellness Club induction 2022 was inaugurated by Principal Mrs. Seema Agrawal with lighting of lamp and was presided over by Dr. Chand Kiran, Gynaecologist, Saroj Hospital. The event demonstrated the panorama of health activities held throughout the previous year and apprised the audience about the current year’s health planner. The newly appointed Club Council Members pledged to uphold the values of the club and promote its motto of service before self. Around hundred health volunteers and club coordinators participated in the ceremony. The newly appointed deserving health ambassadors were bestowed with the responsibility of spreading the message of health and wellness to all and lead the school from the front with their commitment, passion and competence. The school Administrator, Mrs. Anita Wadehra sent her blessings through a voice message and wished good luck to all the participants. Guest Dr. Chand Kiran appreciated and lauded the efforts of young ambassadors for their commendable services and awarded certificates of excellence.

HEALTH DAY REPORT
Health and Wellness Club of Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura celebrated World Health Day on the theme ‘Our Planet, Our Health’. The event was inaugurated by School Principal Ms Seema Agarwal. A number of health activities were organized by the Club for classes LKG to XII to ignite the young minds about making healthy food choices and to devise advocacy strategies for managing various lifestyle diseases. Some of these activites were Poster making, Slogan making, fireless cooking, salad making, vegetable painting and various other health games. The activities were not only fun filled but also were very effective in developing a mental schema in cognitive domain of students for making informed health decisions. Health brochures were also distributed among the students and signature campaign against tobacco use was launched. School Principal Ms. Seema Agarwal lauded the Health and Wellness club for their commendable job in spreading the much-needed information amongst children and society at large, especially during the testing times of Covid.

MEET AND GREET EVENT
The Alumni Mission Team of DLDAV Model School, Pitampura hosted a stupendous alumni, ‘Back to Roots’ bash, to commemorate the unparalleled accomplishments of Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra on her retirement. The team felicitated the Principal and thanked her for her unrivalled role in their journey to success. More than 2100 school alumni attended the ‘Meet and Greet’ event besides Principals from different schools. A panorama of cultural programme was presented by members of alumni and staff besides a ramp walk by the staff of the school. The school lawns reverberated with the sounds of dance and music as students danced to popular thumping songs. The aroma of delicious snacks made crowds throng the food stalls. Gratitude boards were displayed on all corners. Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra expressed gratitude to Alumni Mission Team and the teacher coordinators Mrs. Charu Bawa and Mrs. Ekta Seth for the overwhelming expression of love and regard and congratulated them for the grand success of the event. She conveyed great satisfaction on the colossal force that the school alumni had become. She hoped that it would continue to grow from strength to strength and prayed that the values the school had instilled in them would continue to reflect in their words and deeds.

The Management and Staff of D.L. DAV Model School, Pitampura organized ENCOMIUM, the Retirement Ceremony celebrating unparalleled accomplishments of Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra. The guests on the occasion were Dr. N.K. Uberoi, Vice President, DAVCMC & Vice Chairman of the school, Dr. Nisha Peshin, Director PS-II & Academics, DAVCMC & DAVCAE and Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, Manager of the school. The staff members of the school put up a mesmerizing cultural programme. A presentation, given on the occasion, mapped the glorious journey of 39 years of Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra in the school, both as a teacher and as a Principal. The guests released a book entitled Anita Wadehra – The Untangible Charisma. Dr. Uberoi appreciated the tireless efforts of Mrs. Wadehra in raising the institution to glorious heights. Dr. Nisha Peshin congratulated her for the outstanding achievements of the school and her dynamic role in its success. She announced Mrs. Seema Agarwal as the next Principal and Mrs. Wadehra as the Administrator of the school as decided by DAVCMC. BLESSING CEREMONY (CLASS XII)

School COVID 19 Vaccination Drive
The school organized Covid 19 Vaccination Drive for students of 15-18 years of age for two days on 6th and 7th of January, 2022 with the help and support of Delhi Government.
The drive started on 6 January, 2022 at 9 AM when 5 members team including 1 Doctor, 2 Vaccinators, 2 Persons for registration work took charge and started vaccinating the students. The drive continued till 4 PM. Similarly, drive on 7 January 2022 was conducted from 9 AM till 4 PM. In Total, 550 students from classes IX to XII got vaccinated over two days.
The drive ran successfully under the initiative and guidance of our Principal ma'am Ms. Anita Wadehra, who was present there on both days of drive and personally supervised the conduct of this exercise.
Principal Ma'am was assisted by school team which included Ms. Meera, school Health faculty, Ms. Seema Agarwal, Senior Supervisory head and Ms. Pushpa, Mr. Durgesh, Ms. Anshoo, Mr.Pawan and Mr Akshay, Sports teachers who continuously kept guiding and motivating the students during this vaccination drive.
Special mention needs to be given to Sports teachers, without whose help and support, this mammotvaccination drive would not have been possible.
We thank our Principal ma'am for the directions, guidance and motivation and initiative she took to make this drive successful.

EVENTS 2020-21 (TILL MARCH)
The school celebrated Aarohan – Manik Jayanti Samaroh and Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony 2020-21 on a virtual platform. The guests on the occasion were Prof. Ved Prakash, Former Chairman UGC, Vice President, DAVCMC, Chairman DLDAVMS, Sh. Anurag Tripathi, IRPS, Secretary, CBSE and Dr. Nisha Peshin, Director, PS, DAVCMC. The highlight of the event was Ballet - SHUMBH NISHUMBH, and Shakespeare’s Play – MACBETH. Prizes were given away to the meritorious students.
Ullas Utsav, a festival of joy, celebrating the potential of every child, organized virtually, was a thumping success. The program was graced by eminent guests, Shri Jai Prakash Chaturvedi, Deputy Secretary and Regional Officer, CBSE, Shri Rajiv Khurana, Management Consultant, FIMC, Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, Manager of the school.
The school welcomed its new Chairman, Prof. Ved Prakash to the premises on the occasion of Abhinandan Samaroh. He inspired the 200 above staff with his illuminating address.
The school organized its annual event online, CROSSROADS 2021, an array of Interschool Competitions. Around 1200 students from 72 schools participated in the 15 subject related competitions.
It has also organized Kreativ 2021, online Interschool German Competitions, in collaboration with Goethe institute, Max Mueller Bhavan. Around 500 students from 79 schools from India and abroad participated in the grand event.
The annual extravaganza, EXPO 2021, for classes VII to X and the Cambridge Wing, conducted on a virtual platform, was a kaleidoscope of talent, creativity, innovation and knowledge.
The Arya Yuva Club, Health & Wellness Club, Finlit Club, Global Watch Club, Paryavision Club, Inquisitive Club, Neoteric Innovators Club, Cyberite Club conducted the Induction Ceremony where the team of Club Council members pledged to help manifest the objective of the Club.
Students of batch 2020-21 were given a fond farewell at virtual level. The occasion, which made every student feel special, was the first of its kind in school.
The Teachers Day celebration, a grand affair, was attended by the entire staff in the school auditorium. Staff, both from teaching and administrative wings, presented a mesmerizing and entertaining cultural program on the occasion.
Staff and students bid an overwhelming farewell to teachers on teacher retirement ceremonies conducted both offline and online.
The school successfully organized celebration of Investiture Ceremony, Independence Day, DAVMUN, Praestantia, Cyber Week, Career Counseling sessions, Meet my Mentor activity, Yoga Divas, Rotary Installation Ceremony, Thalassemia awareness talk, retirement Ceremonies besides a host of other activities.

The Annual Report, which highlighted the achievements of the students and the new initiatives taken by the school, was delivered by senior students of the school. Esteemed Prof. Ved Prakash congratulated the Principal and staff for the notable accomplishments of the school and its phenomenal role in shaping the destiny of students. He emphasized on the need to understand and implement the NEP 2020 for its holistic and futuristic approach to education. In his illuminating address to students, Sh. Anurag Tripathi spoke on character formation as the most important goal of education. Narrating anecdotes from the lives of great personalities, he urged them to inculcate qualities of head and heart to enable them to overcome challenges in life.
Dr. Nisha Peshin appreciated the mesmerizing performances of the students in the cultural programme and applauded the efforts of the school in the unprecedented times of Covid 19. Prizes were distributed to meritorious students for outstanding performances in the field of academics, co-curriculars and sports. The function ended with National Anthem.

Darbari Lal DAV Model School Pitampura organised SPECTRUM 2020 for class XI, a virtual spectacle, a platform to students to showcase their talent, creativity and imagination. Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura organised its annual extravaganza, EXPO 2020, for classes Vll to X, on a virtual platform. A kaleidoscope of talent, creativity, innovation and knowledge, EXPO 2020 focused on rising above the Covid-19 debacle and with unabated optimism helping students become drivers of change.
EXPO, a class wise exhibition, with various relevant themes, involved the participation of maximum students of every class. The event which was a part of subject oriented pedagogy also aimed to foster joy of learning by fostering computer skills, experiential learning and art integration.
While imparted in depth understanding of subjects selected by class, it also promoted peer learning, teamwork and confidence, enhanced communication and technical skills and lead to developing more aware, responsible and competent citizens of the country. Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra congratulated students and teachers for proving the heroic and combative spirit of the school fraternity in the backdrop of the adverse conditions and the fulfillment of the school vision.

On Hindi Diwas, 14th September, 2020 Junior Wing of the school organised numerous activities to mark the day. To commemorate and respect the national language and to imbibe interest for Hindi language in students, this day was celebrated. Students were oriented about the importance of Hindi language and how celebrating the day helps in sustaining traditional values and glorifying them to reinforce the languages importance. For Nursery and Pre Primary Classes Hindi Recitation was held. Children used colouful hand made props according to the rhyme they recited. Doha Vaachan was organised for the students of Class I which turned out to be an exemplary activity for their age.

Report - Mrs. Sushma Pandeys Retirement Ceremony
Retirement is always a special occasion in DLDAV Model School Pitampura. It was all the more special as on 22nd August 2020, as the retirement ceremony of Mrs. Sushma Pandey was successfully completed from the virtual stage of DLDAVPP.
Mrs Sushma Pandey who discharged all her responsibilities with full commitment as Supervisory In charge, HoD Hindi, Cultural Activities Coordinator, Hindi teacher, writer and orator, retired today after rendering 35 years of sincere and dedicated services to the institution.
The virtual meet was planned at 12p.m. and was live streamed wherein the whole school faculty logged on to our virtual platform and attended the program. A presentation of a collage of throwback pictures and videos was played, bringing back timeless treasures of the heart. It was an emotional moment for all the teachers. The teachers who physically attended the program also expressed their feelings for Mrs Pandey.
Principal Mrs Anita Wadehra expressed that this institution will never be able to fill the void left by Mrs Pandey and that she and her works would be always in our heart forever. Ma?am wished Mrs Pandey all the best for happy and healthy life ahead.
The virtual ceremony was attended by Mrs Pandey's daughters from Japan and Switzerland and other family members while Video messages from some students, teachers and colleagues were broadcast on the virtual platform. Mrs. Pandey in her farewell address thanked all heartily. She recalled the priceless memories of her long association of 35 years and shared that this institution has helped her imbibe the virtues of regularity, patience, love and care that helped her to grow into a happy and responsible individual. She expressed a sense of gratitude to the staff and management for giving her this opportunity of selfless growth and assured that she would stay connected for the well-being of the school even in her post-retirement years.

Crossroads 2020
DLDAVMS, Pitampura organised its annual event, CROSSROADS 2020, an array of Interschool Competitions, initiated online this year. The event drew an overwhelming response and around 1100 students from 63 schools participated in the 15 subject related competitions proving that the nation may go into lockdown mode but creativity and talent can not be confined. Eminent judges were approached to judge the entries and e - certificates were awarded to the winners and participants. Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra congratulated all the participants for the commendable entries and appreciated the tireless efforts of the computer staff and teacher coordinators for the flawless planning and execution of the mega event. The Rolling Trophy for the highest overall score was awarded to Mamta Model Sr. Sec.School, H block, Vikaspuri.

World Mango Day
23rd July 2020, was celebrated as World Mango Day for the students of our Junior Wing with a lot of enthusiasm. Students got the diced mangoes ready cut in variegated artistic ways & enjoyed having it during the Virtual Mango Party.
