Performance – Measurement & Evaluation
Evaluation is the most important part of studies, in fact a performance measurement scale and a crucial phase in examination. It helps students to develop the habit of regular, systematic and methodical work. It is an area of great importance for students, parents and teachers and enables to check if a given programme is working successful. It is an incentive to hard work and has its diagnostic value both for the teacher and the taught.
Examination Pattern
As per CBSE, the whole evaluation system has been restructured. It aims at providing holistic education, which lays equal emphasis on all aspects of a child’s personality. Testing is to be done in scholastic and co-scholastic area. The system is spread over entire span of an academic session and assessment is done in the following manner.
CLASS XII
The examination pattern for class XII will have one Unit Test of 20 marks and four examinations of 100 marks each subject (inclusive of practicals). This includes Terminal, Half-Yearly, First Pre-Board and Second Pre-Board examinations before the final Board examination.
No student will be allowed to miss any examination/test without prior consent of Class Teacher. Permission will be granted only for valid and genuine reason for absence. Parents will not be granted permission to take their ward home after exam/test is over. They shall go home only when the school gets over.
The quality, accuracy, neatness, efficiency in the class assignments, class response, performance in oral and written tests, language skills, holiday home work, projects and attendance will be recorded to decide the marks for internal assessment.
Any fee-concession or scholarship granted is liable to be withdrawn for misconduct, irregularity, less attendance or failure to maintain scholastic standards. 75% attendance is a must to allow a student to appear in Final Examination or continue to get fee concession/scholarship.
CLASS XI
The examination pattern for Class XI will be spread over the whole academic session in the form of three unit tests of 25 marks, terminal, half-yearly and final examination of 100 marks each subjects (with practicals) and will have practical examination / internal assessment conducted for each examination.
CLASS XI - Subject Options
To get admission in class XI, students have the following options of subjects to select from. Selection of subject options will depend upon the percentage secured in School’s assessment results of class X.
